Sequin Kay

Sequin Kay is a British artist celebrated for her dazzling mixed-media works that combine Swarovski crystals, sequins, textiles, and paint into surfaces that shimmer, shift, and seduce. Her practice is rooted in a fascination with light — how it falls, how it reflects, how it transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.

As an official Swarovski Brand Ambassador, Kay works extensively with Swarovski crystals, incorporating them into sculptures, canvases, and collaborative works that blur the boundary between fine art and luxury craft. Her deep partnership with Swarovski has produced some of her most celebrated pieces — including the Crystal Tanits series, which pays homage to the Phoenician goddess of Ibiza, and the Crystalized Jewel Thief, created in collaboration with Victor Spinelli.

Her upcoming exhibition "Presence" at Studio 55 explores themes of visibility, glamour, and the nature of the gaze. The works ask: what does it mean to be seen? To dazzle? To demand attention? Through sequined and crystal-encrusted surfaces that catch and scatter light, Kay transforms the gallery into a field of shifting luminosity — a space where the viewer becomes as much a part of the work as the work itself.

Kay's work has been exhibited widely across the UK and Europe, and she has collaborated with the Sex Pistols and music production interiors. Her practice sits at the intersection of fine art, craft, and spectacle — always generous, always alive.
