Victor Spinelli

Victor Spinelli is a multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and cultural producer whose practice spans sculpture, mixed media, and documentary photography. He has lived and worked in Ibiza for decades, becoming one of the island's most distinctive and enduring creative voices.

His photographic archive of Ibiza's legendary club culture — including his iconic documentation of the Manumission nights at Privilege — represents an irreplaceable record of a transformative era in music, art, and collective experience. These images, raw and electric, capture a moment when the island became the centre of a global cultural movement.

As a sculptor and mixed-media artist, Spinelli works with found objects, industrial materials, and organic forms to create works that interrogate memory, identity, and the passage of time. His sculptures have been exhibited across Europe and are held in private collections internationally.

Spinelli has created five major art installations at Burning Man, cementing his reputation as one of the most ambitious large-scale sculptors working today. His most celebrated installation — the monumental 8-metre "Diver UP" sculpture, unveiled in 2022 — became one of the most photographed works in the festival's history and is now permanently sited in Las Vegas.

At heart, Spinelli is above all else an artist — prolific, restless, and driven by an unrelenting love of creation. Galleries have been a natural extension of that creative energy. Studio 55 Ibiza is his third: his first opened in Shanghai, China in 2013, followed by a space in the Chelsea district of New York City in 2016. When the opportunity arose to open on the White Island, nothing could hold him back. Studio 55 is more than a gallery — it is a declaration of intent, a space where his vision for art, community, and the extraordinary spirit of Ibiza converge into something truly special.
